Expansion of the WDR Zimmer Frei! internetperformance by the feature "Tapir Safari".

Approach

Virtual Tapir Safari with Christine Westermann and Götz Alsmann through the tapire-areal in the Zoo Dortmund
Changing webcam pictures of the tapires – for which Christine and Götz are the main sponsors
Integrated raffle for the users

Solution

Installation and programming of seven webcams – three in the exterior areal and four in the cage of the tapires
Webcams are active 24 hours; on the virtual safari a picture is updated each 30 seconds
A feature "Schnappschuss des Monats", animates the user to send a very special tapire-picture to WDR Zimmer Frei!. Monthly one picture is awarded and the winner gains Zimmer Frei! CDs, t-shirts, sweatshirts or postcard-sets
